This course is designed to offer students and entrepreneurs an introduction to the components necessary to start and operate mobile vending/food trucks in the Mid-Columbia region. Students will learn how to evaluate menu planning; create menu options; determine staffing and inventory needs; apply proven event planning methods; equipment needs; safe food handling and serving; and the general basics of operating a food truck.

This course is designed to offer students and entrepreneurs additional tools and skills needed to establish a mobile vending/food truck business. Students will learn how to develop a brand identity, identify their brand logo, and develop promotional tools; and create a marketing and promotional plan. Additional topics include finances, insurance and laws, codes, and permits and licensing requirements.
Prerequisite
Prerequisite: CUL 116 or instructor permission.
